• AYURVEDIC MEDICINE for CROUP, and STREP THROAT Croup is a situation in which the higher airways swells and gets irritating. The virus that causes the common cold is also liable for croup, and it mostly happen in the fall and early winter. It normally affects the kids who are 6 months to 3 years old but it can also affect older kids, so you have to be careful all the time. Croup typically occurs a few days after the start of a cold. Croup is infectious.

Streptococcal pharyngitis, also known as strep throat, is a contamination of the back of the throat including the tonsils by a bacteria. Strep throat is spread by respirational droplets from an infected person. It may be spread openly or by touching something that has droplets on it and then touching the mouth, nose, or eyes. Some people may carry the bacteria without symptoms. It may also be spread by skin infected with strep. SYMPTOMS OF CROUP  Cough with a barking noise. It is also called sound of a barking seal.  Stuffy or runny nose with a fever.  High-pitched or squeaking noise while breathing in. If the airways carry on to swell, it becomes hard for a child to breathe. The child may make a high-pitched or screeching noise while breathing in — this is called stridor. A child may also breathe very fast or have retractions (when the skin between the ribs pulls in during breathing). In the most serious cases, a child may appear whitish or have a bluish color nearby the mouth due to a lack of oxygen.
